China Research Institute has successfully developed high-performance "high-magnesium light-strength aluminium" to realise the leapfrog development of aluminium alloy materials.
A few days ago, it was learned from the research activity of "Entering the New State-owned Enterprises and the Main Force of Scientific and Technological Innovation" organised by the News Centre of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council that the new generation of aluminium alloy materials successfully developed by China Research Technology Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "China Research Institute") - "high magnesium light strength aluminium" uses the advantages of magnesium resources in China to realise the perfect combination of low density and high strength and high toughness of aluminium alloy materials.

"High magnesium light strength aluminium" is a high-strength and high-toughness aluminium alloy with the attribute of "original technology" in China, and has completed the international and domestic patent layout. Its successful research and development has not only enabled China to get rid of the traditional development path of long-term tracking and imitation of Western high-strength and high-toughness aluminium alloy technology and products, but also set up China's own technical barriers and intellectual property barriers in the field of high-strength and high-toughness aluminium alloy, realising the leap from "looking at its back" to "competing on the same stage" and "surpassing the lead".

It is reported that China Research Institute is increasing investment, rapidly promoting the industrialisation of new products, and actively cooperating with large-scale aluminium processing enterprises to provide support for the development of China's high-end equipment manufacturing industry.
